Public Policy and Advocacy

The FFTA Public Policy Committee identifies and monitors policy/legislative issues that are relevant to Treatment Foster Care. Members of the committee represent the FFTA on several national and local child welfare coalitions.

The committee also works in conjunction with the Board of Directors to develop position papers and policy statements on issues pertaining to Treatment Foster Care, children’s mental health and child welfare and related topics. The committee is involved with developing the program for the Annual Public Policy Institute and the Public Policy Track at the FFTA Conference on Treatment Foster Care.

If you are interested in serving on the FFTA Public Policy Committee, which meets monthly by conference call, send an email to: ffta@ffta.org.
